Olive Wood Brewing & Craft Co is a family-owned business that provides all the ingredients, equipment and expert know-how for making fermented food and beverages at home including beer, wine, cheese, kombucha and more! We have been in business since 2007 and are located in Western New York State. Our business is built on over 30 years of industry experience and generations of tradition.
Our mission is to preserve the traditions of fermented food and beverages and enhance the enjoyment of making them at home by providing customers with exceptional service, products and knowledge.
Our people define our company and we are so fortunate to have such a great team to serve you. We are a small, family-owned business led by our owner, master brewer and wine maker, Fausto Angotti who is an industry expert with over 30 years experience. Our staff consists of family members and local employees who love their craft and want to help you love your craft too.
As a family business, our purpose is to carry on the skills, knowledge and traditions of generations for our children and for those we serve. We are so grateful for your business which supports our family which is why we take such great pride in serving you and your family.
Our retail store and warehouse is located at 2060 O'Neil Rd #5 Macedon, NY in the historic hop- and grape-growing region of Western New York State. We are easily accessible to millions of local customers in and around the state. We are just 30 minutes from Rochester, NY or the Finger Lakes region, 90 minutes from Buffalo or Syracuse, NY and 3-1/2 hours from Toronto, Canada.
We have been supplying brewers, wine makers and artisans around the world since 2007. After nearly a decade, a new identity is born and the business is renamed Olive Wood Brewing & Craft Co. It represents a new beginning of carrying on old traditions with a refined mission. It is a culmination of years of continuous learning and improvement on how we can best serve our customers today. Olive Wood Brewing & Craft Co now provides artisans around the world with supplies for making all kinds of fermented foods and beverages including cider, kombucha, cheese, bread, yogurt, vinegar, and so much more. However, Our History started generations ago, long before this chapter of the story.

Many people have wondered about the origin of the name 'Olive Wood' but that has remained to be a closely-held secret by our owner. However, there are many theories that have been suggested over the years as customers, and employees alike, have tried to find the answer.
Some believe that the name comes from the beautiful and bountiful olive trees that make up the landscape of our ancestral home of Italy.
Others believe that the gnarled and unique shape of the olive tree, which can live for centuries, is much like that of the ancient art of fermentation. Like an olive tree, each batch of beer or wine is beautifully unique and seems to exhibit an orderly chaos with roots that date back centuries.
Yet another theory for the meaning of our name is inspired by the meticulous effort required to turn raw, bitter olives from the olive tree into delicious, edible food. In much the same way, the process of making beer, wine or cheese involves taking humble ingredients, harnessing the forces of nature and applying a little human ingenuity to create delicious and satisfying foods that feed our bodies and our soul.
