  • Lallemand Philly Sour yeast produces thirst-quenchingly sour beers with notes of red apple, tropical fruits, peach and citrus. It has a high attenuation, high flocculation and good head retention making it an ideal choice for traditional styles such as Berliner Weisse, Gose, American Lambic-Style and American Wild Ales. Also, its resistance to hop compounds makes it a perfect choice for Sour IPA’s unlike traditional lactic-acid producing bacteria.

    Lallemand Philly Sour produces moderate amounts of lactic acid in addition to ethanol in one simple fermentation step. It is a unique species of Lachancea selected from nature by the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, PA, USA.
