Medium toast American oak imparts a full oak character with notes of vanilla to beer, wine or cider. The spiral shape increases surface area to maximize extraction and is easy to use with carboys or buckets. Flavor will develop for up to 6 weeks and it can be removed when desired intensity is reached.
Each stick measures 1in diameter and 8in long and is sufficient to treat around 3 US gallons (more or less according to taste). Additionally, each spiral can be broken into small segments for smaller batches or for making minor adjustments. Each package contains two spirals.

Diammonium phosphate, also called 'DAP', is a water-soluble ammonium phosphate salt and yeast nutrient. It provides yeast with the needed nitrogen for a healthy yeast population and improved fermentation performance. Can be used in all beers, wines and ciders but also in cheesemaking or other fermented foods.

Fermentis Saflager S-189 originated from the Hürlimann brewery in Switzerland. It produces clean-tasting, drinkable beers including lagers, pilsners and more. It has a high attenuation and is highly flocculant producing very clear beers. Saflager S-189 ferments within a wide temperature range between 48.2° - 71.6°F (9° - 22°C) but ideally between 53.6° - 59°F (12° - 15°C).

FerMonster carboys are made of 100% virgin polyethylene (PET) plastic and have a wide 4in opening for fermenting beer, wine, cider or more. It is light-weight, transparent and the large opening makes it easy to ferment whole fruit or to reach inside. It has a tight-fitting screw-top lid that has a pre-drilled hole for a rubber stopper and airlock (available separately).
FerMonster carboys are made without any plasticizer and are 100% virgin, food-grade, BPA-free material. They are extremely tough and virtually unbreakable.
